Thea's father is from Manila, Philippines and her mother is from Brooklyn, New York. Thea's mother was a photographer, and her career required their family to move a lot. Thea and her older brother Tristan grew up with no proper place they think of as home, and despite getting used to a life of constant uprooting, the both of them hate it.Thea joined the police academy as soon as she was out of college. Her mother had recently passed, and it sent tremors through the Ong family. Her brother Tristan always remained out of reach, and the few times she was able to contact him he would never properly talk to her. Her father didn't speak to either of them, isolated himself from the world, and eventually moved back to the Philippines without saying a word to anyone. Everything kicked Thea off course, she wanted a change and she wanted structure.

BIOGRAPHY:
When Tristan’s mother died two years ago, he found himself adrift. He had no one to talk to. His younger sister Thea was busy in her last year of college in NYU. Their father wouldn’t speak to either of them, wouldn’t speak to anyone after the funeral.Tristan isolated himself from all of his current friends and fell into a slump. He moved from job to job, couldn’t bring himself to commit to anything. He moved three times while he lived in Chicago, from apartment to apartment until he ran out of money. Then he started to live from couch to couch until one of his remaining friends at the time got sick of him and called Thea.Tristan may be three years older, but Thea would always be the more mature one between them. His sister ragged on him for weeks, gave him the most upsetting and confusing scolding-slash-pep-talks until he was finally pushed into getting his shit together.He moved to New York City when his sister graduated, crashing in her shitty Brooklyn apartment and taking a job working the register at the CVS across the street. A couple months later, he was almost back to his old self–his sense of humor returned, along with his ambition and flourishing dating life.Tristan always loved photography, he loved snapping pictures of people in the moment. He started small, just doing small freelance gigs for people he’d meet at parties, and soon he found that photography was a hobby he could really earn from. With the money from his day job and the money from his freelancing, he was able to get an apartment of his own. Just as shitty as Thea’s but his own.Their father moved back to the Philippines one day, after spending decades in America he finally returned home. He barely said anything to Tristan and Thea when he left, his parting words being “there’s nothing left in this country for me.”Soon after that, Thea–fresh out of the police academy–tells Tristan she’s moving to Montana. Tristan was tired of moving, but his sister grounded him and he wanted a change of scene anyway. He traded the city for beautiful landscapes, resolving that he’ll use this chance to earn money from selling stock photos of mountains and forests.So he followed Thea to her new junior deputy job in Hope County, Montana. The two of them got an apartment in Fall’s End, right above the general store. Tristan even got a part-time job working in the store. They’d barely moved in when things started getting unsettling in the county. And after two weeks in the county, all-out war blew up.

BIOGRAPHY:
Iris was born to a Caucasian mother and a Chinese father. She never knew her father, only the story of how her parents met, short and sweet: Her father was a merchant who met her mother by the docks of Saint Denis. Though there was a language barrier, they were both sweet on each other. Shortly after Iris was born, her father was robbed and killed in the streets.Iris was raised by her mother and her grandfather in Strawberry. Her mother passed from Typhoid fever when Iris was a teenager, and it's been her and her horrid grandfather ever since.Iris works at the hotel in Strawberry, where does all the housekeeping and occasionally fills in for the girls who work the baths.Observant and a fast learner, Iris Cole fell hard into an obsession for hidden treasure. She lived her whole life in Strawberry, dreading each dull day that passed. It was only when an outlaw by the name of Arthur Morgan darkened her doorstep, ready to beat the life out of her grandfather for a debt, that Iris took a chance and strived for live a life worth living. Iris very much prefers seeking out her fortunes through old maps and clues from dead men, but she’s not so picky. Whether it’s gold or a money pile stashed in someone’s chimney, Iris will take pride in finding it. With an eye for gold and a whole lot of underestimating from anyone who meets her, Iris is sure that her life has led up to the moment she joins the Van Der Linde gang.
